The bird has a song

A layout my daughter made this weekend. She did the flower the hard way by using a stencil and a hot fix tool, and of course stickles.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas ….just kidding, but it’s coming soon. In this layout I used a small piece of fabric, left over Merry Christmas die cuts, and a doll graphic I drew a colored with copics, love those things ! I really like the plaid paper in this layout.

We have several croppers out there that like simple layouts, so here’s one for you. This is a simple but pretty layout made by my niece Ashli……….Good job Ash. :0)

Some inspiration for you……….

I made this layout using the masking technique I put together 5 cupcakes and stacked them. I used my copics, stickles and the Cricut Create a Critter Cart.

Christmas in July

I tried a few different things on this layout. I used some clear epoxy dots, with stickles a simple embellishment…………..

I made bows and poked pins through them. I tied the bow and then wrapped a small piece over the center and poked the pin through it. I’ve had these pins for a long time but never knew what to do with them I have seen other people do similar things. Different types of ribbon will probably give you a different effect. Hope your inspired…..Have a great day!

Slumber Party

Oh Boy

Let me tell ya I am trying to post things more consistently, but life keeps getting in the way. :0)This is my latest layout. I tore the top cardstock layer and applied ink to it and all of the paper edges. I used an ink pad, and the Tim Holtz foam applicator for distressed inks. To mask you just stick down the mask, dip your foam applicator into an ink pad and rub onto the paper. It’s best to start away from the paper to avoid harsh dark marks and then work to the edge of the paper in a circular motion. If you haven’t tried masking you should, you can get some interesting results. The paper I used is Tim Holtz Mother Goose, I cut out the cards and inked the edges. I put them on the layout with pop dots. Hope you enjoy the layout and it motivates you to try something new.

Little Girls have a Magic All their Own

This is the layout I completed at the crop this past weekend. It’s a picture of my daughter after she had been to the beauty shop to get a haircut. I used the Cricut cart Paper Dolls, and made a little girl and a cat. Sheanice always managed somehow to have a cat around where ever she was. There were cats at both of her Grandma’s house and home. I don’t remember her dressing up the cat like this but I’m sure she tried,

Another Sample

Maybe these will help get your creative wheels turning today! :0)

Our challenge for Callahan Country Bugs was to create a layout using just scraps. I thought that was kinda appropriate for pictures of Granny Betty. She made quilts, rugs, and other things out of scraps. She didn’t care about matching anything, including her clothes.
This what I used for my challenge. We could make anything using only 1 full sheet of cardstock, the rest had to be scraps. I used a Spellbinder dies to cut the decorative squares. I had to piece somethings together, but I hid them pretty good. I also used left over buttons from the last post.

Oh, sing to the LORD a new song.
Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
Sing to the LORD, bless His name!
Proclaim the good news of His salvation
from day to day.
Psalm 96.1-2
